What the Praxis offers:

  • 4 months of membership with 24/7 access and private work shelves (January 4 - April 30, 2027)

  • Biweekly mentorship (or 10 hours, depending on how you want to spread it out)

  • The Praxis Fellow will have biweekly 1-2 hour meetings with their mentor. The first meeting will be to develop and refine the project proposal and chart a course for the 3 month fellowship. The final meeting will be to reflect on the fellow’s work and growth. In addition to design and conceptual work, the fellow should also identify technical skills they would like to develop.

  • The Praxis Fellow will have the opportunity to present their findings via an artist talk and presentation in the Gasworks window gallery at the end of their fellowship.

  • Firing Fees stipend: $150/month

  • Materials stipend: $500

  • Specific skill training sessions

In 2026, Public Ceramics expanded its programming to include a Winter Praxis session. The Praxis fellowship allows one former PCF fellow to further refine and develop their practice via a 4-month membership at Gasworks NYC.

The Praxis Fellow has the opportunity to present their work in the Gasworks window at the end of their fellowship, accompanied by an artist talk.

Applications for the Winter 2027 Praxis (January 4-April 30, 2027) will be announced soon.
